It's interesting when you look at the whole point of social websites. I suppose the word "social" kinda gives it away. It really seems like there is a massive need for people just to hang out, interact with each other and have fun. I have no idea how this kind of activity can turn into a business (just yet), but maybe it's not supposed to turn into a business in any case! And I also suppose that is why marketers aren't considered all that welcome on the social sites either. They really seem to spoil the fun for everyone once they get there dirty little hands in there. Perhaps the best way yet, if you're a marketer, is to forget that you are a marketer, and just to join in the fun and get involved the way that everyone else is.
